Netfx 1.0 Update?

I was given an Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo laptop with Windows Xp Home version
signed by Fujitsu-Siemens. After clearing some 1200+ infected files, I
applied SP2, and many updates. However, update to netfx v. 1.0 is not
possible to apply. When I try manually to install update from file,
installation asks for netfx.msi installation file, which I can not locate.
Netfx 1.0 is not visible in Add remove programs from Control Panel. If I try
to install netfx 1.0 from netfx.exe file, it complains that netfx 1.0 is
already installed. Any suggestions?

The cleanup for it is messy. You may want to try using dot net 2 or 3 instead.

This is just a working laptop from our construction division, it has
installed programs from external developers, and, I am not shure if they use
netfx at all. It would be sefest to keep v1.0 and to patch it with SP3 as I
wantend to. As far as I remember those early netfxses all came in *.exe
installation files, so I can not figure out why Sp3 patch is trying to find
*.msi installation?
