Hi,

I have to justify .NetCF over J2ME on PPC.
Any ideas?

Thx,
Krishna.

I don't believe there is a reliable J2ME engine for PPC. Sure there is a lot
of offerings, but all I've seen at the last JavaOne were rather flaky. And
there is not a single one that would be supported on a range of devices as
wide as CF. Licensing issues: I'm not sure if there is a royalty-free VM out
there, while CF doesn't cost you a dime. OTOH you can develop for J2ME with
free tools (Forte) but you will need to buy VStudio for CF development

Also a major factor is a developer's background. If you know your J2Me
inside out, then you might want to stick with it and find an VM that works
on your platform/
