Netbios / Invisible Master and PDC

HI!

One computer (win 2k server, DC) is invible from the other, in my network
place, but I can access it with \\computerName. This computer is also the
master browser and the pdc for netbios (browstat.exe). It is also the primary
Wins server.

NetBios over TCP/IP is enable.
It is not Hidden with a register key.
i tried Browstat forceannounce to no avail.
It has two network cards, on the same subnet/segment, united by a single
virtual interface.

THe others servers on the same segment give me events id : 8032 and 8021.

Do you have some clues? thanks!

It is not recommended to install DC on a multihomed computer. If you do, you should make sure just one NIC has a record in the WINS. This like may help,

I believe he meant the NICs are teamed ("United" was the term used). so it's not really multi-homed. If it's the master browser it really shouldn't have to announce to itself, or rather it already did because an election took place (as verified by BrowStat). What do the WINS registrations show? Is it registering?
