net1.exe - Application Error

Since installing Windows XP SP2 upgrade I get the
net1.exe - Aplication Error on my computer with a code of
oxc0000142. It actually locks up my computersometimes.
Can anyone help me resolve this problem.

What program are you using that uses net1.exe? Contrary to what you
would find people suggesting in a Google search, net1.exe is not a virus
or spyware, it is a component of Windows that is only used by certain
programs. I would think this is either a service or application that
you have running that is using this file and it isn't compatible with
SP2. Try updating all of your software if there are updates available
for any of it.
