Just out of curiosity, are any big name developers / apps using the .NET framework to develop? Is Microsoft itself using the framework to develop any of their products

Thanks!

I believe large parts of Explorer in Longhorn will be written in .NET,
and I suspect much of Microsoft's "green field" development will be
written in .NET.

Check out Microsoft's SharePoint Portal Server.

And Longhorn's WinFX, Avalon, WinFS, etc. Much of that is managed code.
