Hi

I am starting to get into ASP.NET and was wondering if I could get some
advice as to what web hosts are out there that will support .NET code
and which ones are good in regards to service/price/uptime/etc.

Thanks

Jeff

Doesn't look like they offer ASP.NET 2, though, nor SQL Server 2005...

www.hostinguk.net have offered ASP.NET 2 since November, and are just about
to offer SQL Server 2005, including Reporting Services...

I can tell you who to avoid like the plague.

Stay away from GoDaddy.Com. They lead you into thinking they allow you to
have a SQL Database and in fact they do offer a SQL database that is limited
to 100 MB (thats ok for a small DB.) but heres the kicker you can only access
it through the GoDaddy Website. if your building a web app in Visual Studio
you can't connect to it.

when I talked to the Customer support she said "we don't allow Remote access
to the DB on the shard hosting but if you want to connect you can do it if
you have a dedicated host. so basically its a bait and switch ).

now how many of you developers are gonna write an ASP.Net application that
doesn't require a conection to a database??

No one? Yeah thats what i thought... LOL

Stay away from GoDaddy.Com.

You're not the first person to mention this... Maybe their "service" might
be OK for the average home uer's personal website but, as you say, no use at
all for developers...
