Net View results very slow

On any other workstation in my network I can run Net View from a command
prompt and it returns results instantly. From my machine, it takes
almost 45 seconds before it returns results. I have a relatively small
network with a class C address scheme and only about half the address
space being used. Even if Netbios is being resolved via a broadcast, it
should be faster than this. I've tested by changing my node type via the
DHCPNodeType key in the registry but I didn't see any change. I tested
using 1,2,4 and 8. All seemed to return the same so I'm thinking it
isn't a Netbios issue. I do have many Network adapters but I've set the
binding priority highest on the Intel gigabit card that I'm connecting
with. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this futher and any help would be
appreciated.

TIA

I figured out the problem. I had to disable a couple VMware virtual
adapters and Cisco VPN adapters using DevCon. After that, it's zippy again.

The Cisco VPN Client has a Stateful Firewall that's always on even when
the VPN Client isn't. In the client, go under the "Options" menu and
turn it off.
