NET START/STOP remote

Hi.

Do anyone know the syntax for NET command to start and stop services
remotely from the command line?

My goal is to stop and start a certain service on a number of servers using
a batch file.

Use the SC.exe utility - not sure whether this is built-in to Win2k Server,
but it comes with XP and Server 2003. See:

W2K doesn't support it :-( .. I use NET START service.. or NET STOP
service..

Hmmm - I use it on Win2k Servers all the time - works great. Maybe there is
a version compatability issue. The sc.exe file built into Windows Server
2003 is 48 KB. The sc.exe file on my lab Win2k Server is stored in the
Resource Kit folder - 62KB dated 11/11/99.

Another freeware program that will do this is the "psservice.exe" from
sysinternals. It is part of the PsTools package.
