Net Send

I'm trying to use the "net send" in Command Prompt, but
when I try to send a message, a message comes up
saying, "The service name is invalid." Then, I try to use
the net help command that they give, and it says that the
service is not configured. How do I do this so that I can
use "net send"? If anyone has any ideas...please e-mail me
at (e-mail address removed) just in case I do not check
this site in the near future. Thanks.
 
Are you entering net send or net start?

Messenger Service must be installed and running IIRC.
