net send question

I've been playing with the 'net send' command on my home network, which
sits behind a Linksys router with NAT firewalling. I am able to send a
net send message to a W2K box or to an XP box, but an ME box is not able
to recieve a net send message from either W2K or XP. I am aware that ME
cannot send 'net send' messages, but is there any way a 98/ME box can
recieve net send messages from W2K or XP?

You need to find WinPopup. It should be on the Win ME or 98 CD someplace.
If not you can search for it on MS's website. The draw back is that it must
be launched by the user or placed in the startup group.
