Hi,

I'm a newbie to .net. I want to do a good project using .net for my
course work. this project should help me in learning basics as well as
for jobs too. Please suggest me some fields where i can work and
possible references to it. Any help or references will be
appreciated.

Hi,

You could get ideas for projects by browsing sites like sourceforge.net etc.

MS holds competitions for undergrad (i believe) students in .NET which is
known as Imagine Cup - maybe you could search for previous Imagine Cup
projects to get a good idea for your project. Or maybe you could also plan
to join the Imagine Cup 2005 competition to be held shortly.

When you hit a stumbleblock during your development you could count on
newsgroups, and article sites like codeproject and the best .NET ref MSDN to
help you out.
