Net problems that may be related to a SP1 install

About a week ago I installed window's updates to my
machine, including SP1. Since I've done this I cannot
connect to the web using Mozilla's FireFox 1.0, emule, 3d
studio max, getright download manager or kazaa. I am not
using any type of fire wall at present and I'm connecting
stright to the internet via 56K dail up (no router or
anything). However Internet explorer works fine..
I have reinstalled my drivers for my modem and remade my
internet connection serval times.

Any help any one could give me in regard to this problem
would be very gladly received.

Never mind. The day I installed SP1 was the same day I
removed Zone Alarm. It turns out it wasn't fully removed
and was still blocking sites.

By the way, why install SP1? You can now install SP2 instead,
which is the better choice.
