.NET Messenger

Lately I get a pop-up every time I turn on my computer
inviting me to use .NET Messenger. Well, I don't want
to. How would I either disable the feature or make the
pop-up not pop, er, up? Thanks!

Assuming it's the Passport "balloon", first close down Windows Messenger (right-click the
icon the balloon came from in the notification area/system tray and choose Exit), then
download and run this .reg file:
