Can i go on the net without a phone line?

What i mean could a internet company send it down your phone line.


I only have a bt socket but it,s turn off.
 
Not if it isn't active, no.

Alternatives are mobile phones; a local cable service; a wireless-enabled laptop within reach of a link; the local library or an internet cafe.

at the moment it,s off i can,t make calls or ring.

people can,t even ring up.

but my net still on
