Hi,

The .NET Compact Framework 2.0 that can be found on
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/embedded/aa731258.aspx, does this
need to be installed on target machine or development system?

Isn't fully clear to me.

I'm assuming you mean the link to the .NET Framework 2.0 since the Compact
Framework is targeted at CE devices. Here is a link to the .NET Framework
2.0 component(s) that should be installed to your XP Embedded development
database.
