ATi require the Microsoft .Net Framework for installation of their Catalyst Drivers.

I've never bothered downloading .Net before, but I notice that under software in Windows Update there are two versions : .Net 1.1 and .Net 2.0 x86.

Do I need to download both, or is 2.0 an updated version that I can download on its own?

Nope they are different ... DL the 1.1 and then re-visit MSs update site to get the update to that and then again to get the update to that one also ... I think it's three times you have to do it.

Then I think you can leave the ver 2 for when needed ... hell you may as well get that too. :D

MS will "force" other manufaturers to use .NET ... symantec were one of the first to do so, even before MSN. :D

OH, and "log-on" if you have too ... the next fix, fixes that fix.

;)

Thanks Mucks, off I go now to start fixing those fixes......
