Net.exe AND Net1.exe?

Under Win2k SP3, is it normal to have both of the these files in
\winnt\system32, or does it indicate some kind of infection or
other problem?

net.exe 12/07/1999 42,768 bytes 5.0.2160.1
net1.exe 12/07/1999 124,176 bytes 5.0.2179.1

Why are both required? Is one for command line and the other
for GUI ?

Yes. Normal. Although SP4 updates net1.exe
(version 5.0.2195.6601)

I don't recall why.
