.NET 2003 hangs when opening solution

Hi.

I am having a problem where, every now and then, I am
opening a solution that I haev previously worked on. It
seems to get in to a funny state where .NET 2003 just
hangs forever, I get no error messages or anything back,
the program just hangs. Once in this state, this always
happens when opening the solution and there is no way out
of it.
Has any one else had this problem and if so, any ideas on
how to fix it?

Is this a Web Forms, Windows Forms, or other type of app?
