.net 2 framework culture support

..net 1.1 framework is available in a multitude of "cultures" (languages).

I am told .net 2 is only available in English. Is this going to change
or is it smarter than 1.1?

IIRC the setup includes resources for other languages than English.
Language packs will be published later.
