Nested DataGrid

hi All, I have a datagrid inside a datalist. The datagrid has checkbox as
template column. I need to retrieve the datagrid columns from the page how
do I proceed?
DataGridItemCollection items = ((DataGrid)this.FindControl("MyGrid")).Items;

This doesn't work!!
