Hi;

I wish to create a simple form (without any macro attached to it)

I've an amount field in the form now. In order for it to capture the value
in negative, I've defined the field format as -0.00

When i move my cursor to the next field, Word managed to convert the
positive value that I've entered into negative.

However, after I save the form, I found that Word will add another negative
sign in front of the amount. As a result, the negative sign is duplicate. For
example: in stead of -1000.00 , it will be shown as --1000.00

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance

It happens not only when you save the document, but if you enter and exit
the formfield again as well.

I would think that the only way achieve your required result is to use a
Macro.

Thanks for your reply.
However, macro is not a viable solution for the user, since they always face
issues with macro :(

I'm thinking of inserting a reference {Field Name}.
Please advice whether it is possible for the word to capture the value by
using the reference formula when I click on the "Complete" command box?

I know how to use the reference, but I do not know how to ensure that the
value is captured when I click on the "Complete" command box.

Please advice.
Thanks in advance
