Need totals for same items

Hello everyone
Hope someone help me to solve my problem.
I have a table which has more than 1000 lines. COL-A has ITEM NO. an
COL- B has QUANTITY. The Item number is repeated many times. What
wanted is to add all the quantities for the same Item number and giv
me a separate list.
Eg: My table looks like below:
A B
12345 5
23456 1
32456 3
12345 4
12345 1

And I need the result as below
C D
12345 10
23456 1
32456 3

Hi Tom
have a look at pivot tables. They will create this report for you with
nearly no effort. For getting started with them have a look at

A formula approach would use SUMIF. e.g.
=SUMIF(A1:A100,12345,B1:B100)
But I would use the pivot table approach
