need to type value for list box

I have a multiselect(simple) list box - I can select with the mouse the
different job numbers but I prefer to type them and have it scroll to them
and then select them. How is this possible - what am I missing?

are you able to select more than one item on the combo box??? I thought you
could only do this with the list box -set to simple??
