Need to Turn off ALL Windows' sound for music software

I bought music recording software that requires that I turn off all o
my Windows sounds so that it will operate properly. I was told to g
somewhere in the Control Panel of Windows XP, but am having troubl
finding that type of command. Muting sound in other areas has no
worked. I still hear normal computer sounds in my headphones, bu
nothing else.

Hi

Try Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices - Sounds tab. Set the drop down
menu to 'No Sounds'.
