Dear all,
I have some Qs which I was not able to find answers,
1, After a virus attack and successful! removal (Using NAV of another
computer) I get a massage every time I logged in saying that
C:\Windows\System32\svohost.exe could not be found. How can I stop this
massage appearing?
2, Can I use net meeting on XP, which version? where to get?
3, Cant find scan disk in system tools is it normal or am I missing
something?
Regards,
Cecil

Use MSCONFIG.EXE and find where it is loaded and remove that line.

It comes with WinXP

That a Win9x/ME command and not a winXP command.
You either open a command prompt at enter; chkdsk /f
Or... Double click on "My Computer", right click on the disk drive in question, choose
"Properties" --> Tools --> Check now and the click on both boxes then click on "Start"
In either of the above cases, this will queue up the function to run at the next boot.
Reboot the PC and you will see it perform a complete Check Disk function.

It comes with XP alright, but where it is is a secret which I will now
reveal:
Start, then Run, and enter Conf
A wizard will then escort you through the setup.

Added info:

Run: Start/Run/conf

Remove: Start/Run/RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
C:\WINDOWS\inf\msnetmtg.inf,NetMtg.Remove

Reinstall: To reinstall, open the Windows\Inf folder (this is a hidden
folder, so you may need to adjust your Folder Options
to show hidden files and folders. Or you can click Start, Run and enter
%systemroot%\Inf).

Locate the msnetmtg.inf file in the Inf folder. Right click and select
Install. Have your XP CD handy.
