Need to install "Accessories"

I reinstalled WinXP recently and just discovered that many... if not all...
of the applets in Accessories did not install properly.

What is the proper procedure to get them installed?

I can find Paint.exe for instance but it won't start. Do I need to uninstall
each applet before I try to install them.

Also... do I have to use an XP disk to uninstall or reinstall all the
applets? The retail disk I have is not the one installed on this machine.
When I tried using the OEM disk from Dell it did not seem to work... at least
not for uninstalling.

Thanks John...

I used the utility you cite below. This fixed Paint... but not Calculator. I
have a short cut but it doesn't find the program.

I don't really use the calculator but can I simply copy the calc.exe file
from another XP computer under my desk to my primary computer?

Yes, you can copy it from another machine or from the
%windir%\system32\dllcache folder.

John...

Just got around to attempting to implement your instruction below.

I found "calc.exe" on another PC. But when I went to paste it into the
"dllcache" folder on my primary PC I found I don't have such a folder... not
in system32... not anywhere.

Now I wonder - how important it is to have such a folder for normal
operation of my computer? I haven't detected any adverse effects but I don't
know what they might be.

And I wonder... if I'm missing that folder... might I have other missing
WinXP folders and components. How do I test/check for this?

Oops... I had to change a file setting so I could "see" the folder. I did so
and solved my problem.
