need to get monitor screen display back

Uh-oh----I may've really screwed the pooch this time....

I have another desktop pc using Win2K. I was monkeying around with it
awhile ago and reset my monitor screen resolution to some high number. At
which point my screen went black, and is staying black. What do I do to try
and unscrew this thing????? I've tried restarting and that didn't change
anything. Whatever is to be done has to be accomplished without a monitor
screen display.
 
Old age and senility has made it easy for me to forget totally about Safe
Mode.

Just fired up in Safe Mode and was able to go in and unscrew the screen
resolution thing.

Thanks for the reminder.
