I got to the end of the line on my XP system and have
decided to do a fresh install. The problem I have is that
I have 3 XP systems at home and did not keep track of
which system belongs to what XP systems disc and
accompaning sereal number...

Is there a way for me to track back the sereal number
from a working system back to the system disk that
belongs to it? Or: should I just pick one and re-
register? Will that give me a problem when I re-register
an already registered number?

Thanks in advance for your advice/help!

get the free Aida 32, enterprise edition from
http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32
which is an excellent general System Info tool, and its Software -
Licenses page will tell you the one used for Windows and ones for
several other items.
