Need to change file exension

I need to convert .bmp file type to jpeg or gif. I can upload a larger pic
if the files where jpeg or gif and need to know how to convert them.
 
Just click the file to open it in the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, click
on the "diskette" icon, copy to, save as type, to change the file extension,
then just save it to where you can find it later..
