Need to add fields to contact form and can't do it

asking

Hello, My problem is trying to add a few fields in Outlook 2000, running on
Windows 2000 Professional. I need two additional fields in the contact form
to show Instant messanger and the provider (viz. Yahoo and AOL) as some
people use both. I tried going into tools, forms, design a form and that's
as far as I get. The problem is that I'm not a programmer, don't know VB,
and can't get the bloody thing to let me add the fields. I can create new
fields by clicking on "new", but the fields don't show up when I try to
select them. MS website is useless, as is help screen.

Is there anyone out there who can walk me through the steps?

Thanks in advance.

No VB or programming skills necessary. When you enter design mode, you should see a Field Chooser pop up. Click New to add a new text field to it, then drag that field only your form. See http://www.slipstick.com/dev/forms.htm for more forms basics and beyond.

I've done that twice, but then how do I save the form? It keeps prompting me
for a new name for a contact; I simply want to add those fields to the
standard contact form. Totally confusing...
