I accidentally deleted this file trying to delete viruses
on my computer. Unfortuantely, its an important system
file that seems to control everything from copying and
pasting to using the Windows Help and Search options. I
think all I need to do is copy svchost.exe back onto my
machine via DOS, but I don't have the file. Can anyone
send it to me or post in here?

Thanks!
Justin

Try restore????If you can,if not,may have to get it from
your start-up disc.Read up on it------------------

You should be able to find a copy in C:\Windows\system32\dllcache

The way to restore it is to use sfc.exe \scannow in a command prompt (as an
administrator).

Alternatively, you may be able to use the System Restore Wizard to restore
you to happier times.

Next time, Google for a file using www.google.com/microsoft before deleting
it!
