I am trying to develop a job tracking spreadsheet. I would like to have a login page, which a person puts in a ID# and password then puts in a job # and detail #. When the person punches out on the job, it automaticly punches in on the next. I am not sure if something like this can be done in excel or not. Any advice, comments, or direction is much apperciated.

Thanks,
Darrell

You say:
"When the person punches out on the job, it automatically punches in on the
next."
What constitutes "punches out on the job"? What do you mean by "it
automatically punches in on the next?
It appears, from what you wrote, that you want Excel to do no more than
keep a record of people's comings and goings.
Exactly what is it that you want Excel to do? Be specific. HTH Otto

Yes, I want to keep a record of people's comings and goings, plus record the time started and time finished as per Job# and Model#.

I would like people to come up to a PC and type in a username and password, which in turn brings them to a place where they can enter a job# and model# which will envoke the Start(time stamp). Then when the person goes to the next job, they will log in and enter the next job# and model# which will envoke the Finish and the Start of the next and so on. I would like to display this information classified by Job# or Model#. I would also like to either save the file after every entry or save on a time basis (every 15 minutes). In the end I would like to print out a form for each job which lists each time a person worked on a model.
