Need hotfix

I need the hotfix described here
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;841382 but I can't get free support from Microsoft
because the support is OEM from my manufacturer... but
they're not going to have an hotfixes... so how am I
supposed to get it without paying 99 bucks?

Read the article carefully. Unfortunately that's what you do and we come away thinking these things cost $. Until you try it once you'll always have that misconception. Call Microsoft's 1-800 number and say, "Hotfix 841382." That's it.
