I have a new computer and want to transfer my outlook contacts from my old computer to my new computer. One problem, my old computer's motherboard died, so I did not have a chance to export the data beforehand. However, I do have the old computer's hard drive burned onto CDs. When I found the .pst file and tried to import it, the computer said that I did not have permission to access this file. Any ideas of how to get my contacts into my new computer would be most appreciated

Copy the PST file from the CD to a hard drive, right-click on the file in
Windows Explorer and select Properties. Clear the read-only setting. Outlook
requires read and write access to a PST file to open it.
