Need help with Wingdings font mess up !

Hey all

Need help 'decrypting' an essay using wingdings. Originally had it typed up
in either times roman or arial but just to be safe that it wouldn't be looked
at by eyes other than my own, I changed the font to wingdings. Now I've come
back to the file and whereas yesterday I was able to open it up and change
font back to original, tonight it won't do that. I keep coming up with
squarish characters when trying to change font, no matter what font i select.

Someone please help me. This paper is due in 2 days and it was a really
stupid thing to do, no back up copy either !

Have you tried any other non-symbol fonts? Garamond, Comic, etc?

Lol, yeah, I must have gone through quite a few. None worked though. Opened
up the file in Wordpad and tried to change it there using times roman. Thank
God it worked ! Don't think I'm going to do something like that again.

Many thanks for your reply.

I'm glad to hear you finally got it back.

My husband and I did a bit of our "courting" via email. We used to work for
the same company and we suspected there were busybodies who were curious
about whether or not we were dating. He created a macro that was a simple
letter exchange. Perhaps something like that would work for you.

What's wrong with Word's own encryption? If you set the level high enough,
the document is pretty well secure against intruders.
