Need help with windows error

I just cleaned the "about blank" hijacker off my Pc and everything is going
OK, but when I try to launch certain programs or files I get a blue screen
with an error message

"page fault in nonpaged area"

Can anyone help me with this? I can't find a code for microsofts website
help. I've Googled about it and came up with nothing substantial.
