Hi,

I have Excel 2000 and I am trying to do a percentage calculation i
colums.

Let me explain.......

I have a basic invetory of 4,000 items. Each item is price
differently. I want to increase each item in that column by a %, i
this case it's 10%. Is there a way I can do a column calculation ??
Or do I have to do each cell independently ??

Thank you for any and all help !!

Hi

Enter 1.1 into some empty cell and copy the cell.
Select all data you want the values to increase, and then
PasteSpecial.Multiply.
Clear the value 1.1 from cell.

Hi Arvi,

I'm sorry, you will have to write it out for me. I did everything
could think of on how to interpet your answer and I can not come u
with a working solution.

Could you just write out the code for this item, $149.95 and I want t
increase it by 10%.

I do not understand what this means, "and then
PasteSpecial.Multiply." or how to use it.

Sorry, but very thankful.

Hi Dan

Enter 1.1 into some empty cell.
Select that cell. Go menu Edit > Copy.

Select all cells you want the values to increase, and then
go menu Edit > PasteSpecial > select Multilply > Click OK.

HTH. Best wishes Harald
