need help with database project

I have created a table to capture the system date but it will not work. It
says there is a "in table-level expression" error. For the date capture, I
used Date(). For the time capture, I used time(). I don't know about the
time expression since I have never used it before. I have used the date
expression in the past on a 2000 version of access. My current version is
2003 access. Please, any help would be appreciated.
 
Date() and Time() are both legitimate functions. MKake sure the fields you
are trying to fill in are both Date/Time.
 
Thanks for the help. I don't know what is wrong with that database. I
started a new database and tried the date functions successfully. I don't
get what happened in the previous database.
