Need help please.....

I keep getting what looks like an error message box when I go to websites
saying "Warning- your computer may be infected with spyware programs. Please
click "yes" to scan for the spyware"

I clicked on the properties for the error box and it was a website
"cdn.valueclick.com". How do I get rid of this error box?
