Need help on filtering task pad

I'm running Outlook 97.

Completed tasks show up on my task pad. When I go to tasks, I can
filter them out easily. For some reason, I can't figure out how to
filter out completed tasks on the task pad when in calendar mode.

Any help, please?

I suggest this view:

TaskPad set to Active Tasks for Selected Days
Use Start date for Tasks to show up when you need to know about them (their
Start Date) and they'll go red after Due Date. Completed ones stay each
day, then they're gone the next morning (still in Tasks Folder of course).

I also group by Complete, then by Priority.
