Need help on error "Possible Deadlock Condition"

E

Eric

Hi,

I got this error "Possible Deadlock Condition" on the
console of my exchange 2000 (SP3) server. The Server OS
is Windows 2000 with SP4 installed.

I can't seem to dig up much info on it.

Eric,

I might suggest that you post this to the Exchange 2000 - Admin newsgroup as
well. I am sure that some of the experts over there will have a good idea
of what is going on.

BTW - do you have any software applications installed on this Server as
well?

HTH,

Cary

Eric,

Additionally, did you do a search on the MS Knowledge Base? Here is what I
was able to find:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;823909&Product=exch2k
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;827119&Product=exch2k
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;315908&Product=exch2k

You might want to include some more information as well as your post is very
generic and does not necessarily give us much information. However, you
have included the basics - so that is a good start. Is that the exact error
message? When do you get this? Is it only on this system? Are you running
Exchange on a Domain Controller or on a Member Server? What happens if your
try from a workstation with the appropriate 'software' installed?

This is a start.

HTH,

Cary
