Need help! I cannot open an excel file

I cannot open an excel file which I moved to a new folder and renamed. This
error message appeared:

"path://filename.xls could not be found. Check the spelling of the
filename, and verify that the file location is correct.

If you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used
files on the File menu, make sure that the file has not been renamed, moved,
or deleted.

Looks like you are trying to use the listing on the File menu - you will
need to use File-Open and re-navigate to where you moved the re-named
file to. The error message says it all.
