Internet Explorer Favorites are simply files that can be freely copied
from one computer to another or backed up on removable media. Look for a
"Favorites" folder within the "\Documents and Settings\Your Log In
Name\" on the disk where Windows XP is installed. Note that some portals
like Windows Live http://www.live.com/ and My msn http://my.msn.com/
allow free on line storage of bookmarks which you can access with a
password from any on line browser.

You should see you address book in "\Documents and Settings\Your Log In
Name\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\".

both OE and IE have EXPORT function from FILE menu to save the files.
you can then mail them to your self, or use some other file copy process, like floppy/cd/dvd.
then IMPORT in to the new computer using teh samd FILE Import process.

the EXPORT function in OE will ONLY export to Outlook (that's Outlook as in
MS Office, not Outlook Express) or Exchange. It does NOT do anything else.

well the simplest is to export to Outlook, then use Outlook to export to a file you can transfer.

or

use Address book In OE to EXPORT it to a file you can then transfer. but then you have to use
Address book to import it back.

you can make it as simple or as difficult as you want, the tools are there, just use them.
