Need help asap with database split issues

Hi,
I have split the db; however, it cannot be accessed by anyone in my group.
It gives the MS Jet database... error message. I have checked the
permissions, etc. and all is golden. I am at a loss and don't know where to
go from here. Would someone please provide me with their phone number to
discuss, as all this reading and posting is really getting frustrating. I
would be so ever greatful!!!!

And no one's likely to give out a phone number.

it states "microsoft jet database engine cannot open the file (followed by
the drive
mapping)." it is either opened exclusively or the permissions are not set.

But I was the only one in the db and the permissions are correct. If
knowone will provide a tele number, then I can provide my private email.

Krista,

Did you happen to notice if there was a lock file in the folder where your
backend data file is located? It would have the same name as your backend
data file but with a .ldb extension?

Have you tried restarting your computer? If not, try restarting and see if
you can then open the tables.

you shoudl use Access Data Projects... they're much easier to deal
with; and they're stable, reliable, dependable.

MDB craps out when you need it the most.

MDB is obsolete; you don't need to deal with any of these headaches
