Looks like Grid, could be good, Need for Speed has been rubbish the last few games though...

Every Car in Need for Speed SHIFT UNVEILED

Today we announced the entire car and track list for SHIFT. Instead of letting out the list drip by drip we decided it would be more fun this year to reveal all the cars at the same time so below you can see the entire list in all its glory.

GT2_3.jpg

The list features 65 beautifully modelled cars from a wide range of worldwide manufacturers. Fans of the S2000 and Civics will be pleased to note the return of Honda while Nissan are fantastically represented with the likes of the R35 and the classic tuner car the S14 and the S15. The game also showcases a wide spectrum of seminal performance machines including classic cars like the 1972 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R, renowned tuners like the 1995 Mazda RX-7, and ultra-exclusive exotic cars like the 2007 Lamborghini Reventón.

It's been a busy day for Need for Speed fans today with the team announcing this year's coverstar; the BMW M3 GT-2 and the entire car list for SHIFT. If this wasn't enough we've got hold of SHIFT's full Track list. As the press release says: "Need for Speed SHIFT features over 50 unique layouts across 18 tracks including real-world locations and fictional circuits. Players can race on world-renowned tracks like the grueling 20 km Nordschleife or meticulously-designed fictional circuits found in Glendale with its steep grades, hairpin corners and blind crests." So, a great range of courses; some real-life classics while others come straight from the design minds of the SMS team. The courses were chosen based on a combination of racing heritage so popular tracks such as Laguna Seca and the Nurburgring were obvious choices for the team. Here's teh complete list. We'll be investigating the tracks in over the next few months with video drive-throughs and screens galore in future updates at NeedforSpeed.com. In the meantime let us know what you think to the range of course? As with the car list we're really keen to know.

Tracklist..

Dakota
Ebisu Circuit
Glendale
Hazyview
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
London
Miytomi

Oooooooh goodie, I shall give this a go.

But you're right, last few have been el crappo.

I got Pro Street cheap.

If you want a game for a toddler to play to make him happy cos he can't lose and his hand is held all the way, then NFS Pro Street is the game for you...

I'm still trying to get good at GTR Evolution. Fine game but needs lots of concentration.

Yes from what i've read this is supposed to be good. Some say the handling is a bit poo. but sounds like its going to be down to personal preference.

I was never a fan of the NFS games after Underground, they just turned to crap imo.

I'll be trying the demo tonight though that is for sure.

Totally agree.

I have Porsche 2000 (still great and runs in XP); Underground 1 & 2 & Most Wanted the last three of which I have loaded and running in Vista.

Although none of them work with my Thrustmaster steering wheel, I use the gamepad and they're still good games.

Nothing ground breaking though.

Just remembered, i've got a Driving Force GT for the PS3 which now works with Windows thanks to the new drivers, will have to get the new drivers for it and give it a go later. :)

Im still not sure about this game, I think it could be great. Just need to get used to it a bit.

Nope, thinking about it though.

Had another play with NFS Pro Street earlier.

Conclusion? Uninstall & Boot Sale/E-Bay fodder.

Truth be told I've always been a bit crap at driving games, even worse at flight sims.

Still enjoy trying though :)

fps's - hey, may I say I can just about get away with playing them ;)

And rts/rpg's, hell, anybody can be good at them if they take time to think.
