RE: KB Article 329457 - When you log on to a computer
that uses a complex array of group policies, your
computer may seem to stop responding (hang) at
the "Applying your personal settings" screen after you
supply your user name, password, and domain information.
I have unstalled WinXP Pro SP1 and am connected to a
domain and am experiencing the above problem whereby
after typing in the logon/password/ for the domain the
screen appears to stay at the "applying personal
settings" screen for as long as 14-15 minutes. Eventually
after this time, the PC logs on ok to the domain and I
can work. This only happens when I logon to the domain.
If I try to logon to the local pc everything logs on
quickly etc.
How can I get the fix to download as mentioned in this
article about a critical section leak? I am connected to
a Server with MS Windows Server 2003 Standard OS. Please
send me a weblink to the file to download or the file
itself please.
