I screwed up. Installed new SOYO mobo. Before installation I didn't prepare the HD (w/2000 OS) for a new board. Installed a second drive w/2000Pro (C:\). Unable to dual boot as I get blue screened w/ INNACCESIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE for the 'original' HD OS (D:\). I've done everything I know of. Repair....fixmbr....you name it, I've tried it. I can access all the info on D:\ and I could reinstall 2000 or XP to a new folder and not be able to run the installed programs, but it's the challenge at this point. I would like to 'fix' my mistake and be able to boot into D:\ and run all the programs. How can I boot the original OS on D:\? Waste of time or can it be done? Thanks.

You should be able to boot from the CD and do a repair installation over the
original. This picks up all of your application settings.

Remember to reinstall Service Pack 4 and all hotfixes afterwards.

It's worth getting SP4 and as many critical security hotfixes as you can
download before you do this, to avoid going on the Internet until you are
properly patched.

Hope this helps
