Need assistance with accessing boss' email... please help!

Lolly

Hello everyone,

My new boss wants me to find out if there's a way for me access his email
from from my Outlook (on my machine) so I can go through and delete all the
junk (and have them be automatically deleted from his inbox on his machine).
Is there any way to do this?

Basically, he wants me to be able to go through his emails and delete the
junk for him so that he doesn't have to deal with it. He's in FL and I'm in
NY (not sure if that matters). Any assistance with this would be GREATLY
appreciated!

Thanks so much in advance!

Sincerely,
Lolly Fleming

if you are using Exchange, do this:

tools / email accounts / view or change / next / change / more settings /
advanced / open these additional mailboxes

of course you have to have rights to the mailbox

Thanks so much for your reply. Unfortunately it's not Exchange. It's a POP3
account. Are there any options with this? Please let me know.

Thanks so much!

No, and surely he would not want anyone to access his Outlook over the Internet. Sorry, but using Exchange is the only method for you to be a "delegate" for his mailbox.

He could give you is POP account's username and password and you could log
into his mailbox with webmail and prescreen what's there, but once he's
downloaded it, there's no way for you to access it without actually
connecting to his PC over the Internet and taking it over with a tool like
GoToMyPC, VNC, or pcAnywhere.
