Mark..... I've seen some newer versions of Word that won't read a .wpd
file, but you can download the conversion file free from Microsoft.

I believe I tried converting her WordPerfect docs using her Word
program, but was unable to do so. This, however, was some time ago. The
problem just popped back into my head and I rashly fired off my query to
this ng, when I should have instead first contacted her again and
reacquainted myself with the details of the original problem.
So, thanks to everyone for your responses, but I shouldn't have bothered
you with this issue . . . at least not at this particular time. Sorry. :-/
Just checked with The Boss, who uses WordPerfect by choice and Word
under duress. She says that Word will convert .wpd, but will sometimes
mess up the formatting. She also says that WordPerfect will convert
..doc, and do a better job of it than going the other direction. Of
course, I'm sure there are some versioning issues; she uses the most
recent of both programs.
Word 2003 will - am I missing something by not upgrading?
