Navigation toolbar freezes on drop-down arrow

Hi

Having problems with this one. Navigation around IE works if I type in web
address/enter, or click on links. However as soon as drop-down arrow is
clicked for shortlist of recently visited sites IR freezes to not responding.
Error reported and everything else tried... is it a virus / does anyone know
how to fix this ?

This is probably due to a corrupted History folder. See these sites on how
to manually delete your History folder - it will be recreated as empty upon
restart:

I am also having this problem just started today so maybe it is some sort of
microsoft fault not ours??

This might be a variation of the problems caused by the MS06-015 Update
(918165) Usually (for example) www.yahoo.com won't work but
http://www.yahoo.com will connect.

If you have HPs Share to Web software installed, download and run the VBS
file "HP's Share-to-Web software - Fix " at
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Line 383.

If Share to Web is not installed, or that fix doesn't work, see

Hi! Thanks so much for all the info...I was pulling my hair out on this one.
I have HPs Share to Web installed and used the fix from
Kellys-Korner-xp.com. Fixed the problem quickly; wish I'd checked here first.
